Leading the boys' high school team this year will be Coach Harry Carter. Coach Carter comes to us with a wealth of experience both as an outstanding coach and a man who walks out his faith in God. In 1997, Coach Carter was saved at Trinity Bible Baptist Church in Choctaw and has continued serving and attending that same church for 20 years. He has been married over 33 years to Tana Carter and has four grown children.
Passionate about coaching young people, Coach Carter has over 20 years experience on both the basketball court and the football field. While coaching basketball, his girls’ and boys’ teams have won major tournaments around the country. He has coached a talented AAU team for the last five years.

We are thrilled to welcome these coaches
to the OKC Knights!
The OKC Knights are also excited to welcome the very talented Coach Gioya Carter to our high school coaching staff. She joins the Knights' family with a lot of experience as an outstanding player coming off the University of Oklahoma's basketball court, where she was a four-year starter under the leadership of Coach Sherri Coale. While at OU, Coach G. Carter was honored with several awards including "First Team - All Big 12".
Prior to playing for OU, Gioya Carter had an impressive high school career at Carl Albert High School in the Mid-Del school district. There she was named "Class 5A All-State First Team" (2012-2013), "All Tournament Team" (2012-2013), the "Oklahoma Super Five Player of the Year" (2013), and the "Oklahoma Big All-City Player of the Year" (2013).
Coach G. Carter recently graduated from OU with plans to continue playing women's basketball in Europe, but has decided to end her playing career due to injuries. She is looking forward to being back on the court and motivating our high school players to rise to high standards on and off the court.
